Iron, chromium (2.0–2.5%), molybdenum (0.9–1.1%), and trace amounts of other elements, like carbon (0.05–0.15%), make up the majority of Alloy Steel P22. The pipe is more resistant to oxidation and corrosion when chromium and molybdenum are present, which makes it appropriate for use in abrasive conditions. The pipes are guaranteed to be devoid of joints and welds throughout the seamless production process, thus lowering the possibility of failure under stress.
