Commonly employed in piping systems, a threaded uneven tee is a fitting type intended to join three pipe sections with varying sizes. Its threaded connections, which facilitate faster assembly and disassembly without the need for welding or special tools, provide it one intake and two exits, or vice versa. Since the tee's branches vary in size, as implied by the word "unequal" in its name, it can be used in a wide variety of applications where various pipe diameters are needed. An uneven tee, for instance, can be used to split a larger pipe into two smaller pipes or the other way around. This arrangement proves to be very helpful in systems that require the rerouting or splitting of fluid flow in multiple directions, including water distribution, HVAC systems, or diverse industrial uses.
