High-performance nickel-chromium-iron alloy Hastelloy X is well-known for its superior resistance to corrosion and oxidation at elevated temperatures. This alloy works well in harsh conditions when other materials might not perform well, and it is frequently used in demanding applications like chemical processing, power generation, and aerospace. Approximately 22% chromium, 18% iron, 9% molybdenum, and 1% tungsten make up the alloy's normal makeup, with trace amounts of other metals. Hastelloy X's remarkable resistance to high temperatures—up to roughly 2200°F (1200°C)—while preserving its mechanical qualities is attributed to this combination. In high-temperature settings, it can withstand oxidation and carburization and provides good resistance to gasses containing sulfur.

The round bar form makes it possible to machine different parts and components that are required for important applications.
