High-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloys Incoloy 800, 800H, and 800HT are well-known for their remarkable high-temperature resistance to carburization and oxidation. These alloys are frequently utilized in applications where corrosive environment resistance and strength are essential, especially in the power generation, petrochemical, and aerospace industries. With a composition of roughly 30–35% nickel and 19–23% chromium, Incoloy 800 is a general-purpose alloy that resists oxidation, carburization, and sulfidation. It works well in conditions where temperatures can vary from very high to fairly high.
A variant of Incoloy 800, Incoloy 800H contains other elements including titanium along with regulated amounts of carbon. This improvement improves its creep and rupture characteristics, which makes it more appropriate for applications with higher temperatures and longer service times. Even at greater temperatures, it keeps its exceptional strength and resistance to carburization and oxidation.
