Its main constituents are iron and chromium (23-27%), with trace amounts of carbon (maximum of 0.2%), silicon, and manganese. Because of its special composition, 446 stainless steel has outstanding stability at high temperatures and resistance to scaling, which makes it perfect for use in severe situations.
