Super Duplex Steel is a better option in challenging situations because of its outstanding mechanical qualities and resistance to corrosion. Grades S32750 and S32760 in particular are well known for these qualities. These alloys are classified as duplex stainless steels, a combination of ferritic and austenitic stainless steels. They have the ideal ratio of strength to corrosion resistance thanks to this combination. High-performance grade S32750, sometimes referred to as 2507, has a chemical makeup that comprises roughly 25% chromium, 7% nickel, and 4% molybdenum. Its composition confers upon it a remarkable resistance against corrosion and pitting caused by chloride stress, an important characteristic in chemical processing and maritime applications. The steel is perfect for use in pressure vessels and pipelines where strength is essential due to its high tensile strength (up to 1000 MPa) and yield strength (up to 800 MPa).
Compared to S32750, S32760, also known as 1.4501, has even greater strength and resistance to corrosion. Its resistance to localized erosion and corrosion is increased by the approximately 26% chromium, 6% nickel, and 3.5% molybdenum content of its composition. Highly corrosive settings, including those in the oil and gas sector, chemical processing, and maritime applications, are common uses for S32760.
