High-performance stainless steel tubes, or 310H tubes, are constructed from a particular grade of the metal that has superior stability at high temperatures and resistance to oxidation. This grade is very helpful in areas with high temperatures and corrosive materials. Austenitic stainless steel, such as Stainless Steel 310H, has a face-centered cubic crystal structure that gives it great ductility and strength. Compared to other stainless steels, this grade has higher concentrations of chromium (about 25%) and nickel (about 20%), which improves its resistance to oxidation and high temperatures.
The 310H tubes are perfect for use in furnace parts, kiln linings, and heat exchangers since they are made for applications needing resistance to heat and thermal cycling. These tubes' high concentration of chromium and nickel contributes to their ability to withstand scaling and retain structural integrity in temperatures as high as 1150°C (2100°F).
